Planet Ocean
A 90-minute film directed by Yann Arthus-Bertrand and Michael Pitiot. Can we imagine a film that would change the way people look at the ocean? Can we simply tell everyone about our planet’s greatest natural mystery? Can we finally help our children believe in a better, more sustainable world? That’s the triple challenge of this new cinematic adventure by Yann Arthus-Bertrand, edited by Michael Pitiot, which takes in its wake the scientific missions of TARA, a unique pool of researchers, oceanographers and biologists from several countries.
Thanks to breathtaking photography, this film takes us on a magnificent, never-before-seen journey to the heart of our planet’s least-known regions. The film recounts some of the most wondrous and terrifying human experiences of our time. Filmed in the four corners of an extreme geography, it tells the story of man’s modern odyssey to discover his blue planet. The film is also a plea for respect for the world we live in.
